Death of Helen Burt (Dalziel)

Death of Helen Burt (Dalziel). She died just a few weeks short of 98 years. Helen was the last surviving child of James and Eliza Dalziel.

She was very proud of her brother. She passed away on the famous family date, 4th July.

The 4th July was deliberately chosen by Monash for the commencement of le Hamel because General Pershing and his Yanks were there.

Helen Burt was a source of much information and wrote the article included here called “A Soldier of the Queen”. She called herself Carmel Bank.
